Visually inspect the upper radiator hose for pressure marks and traces of rubbing at the closest point of contact to the oil filter housing cast boss (see illustration). If traces of rubbing are found, the upper radiator hose must be replaced with the new style hose (See Parts Information).NOTE: A modified hose was used in production from approximately mid-November 1995 through June 1996, which included akrtoolsuk an extra rubber pad attached to the outside of the hose in the critical area. If traces of rubbing are found on the rubber pad area of this type of hose, it must also be replaced with the new style hose. Visually inspect the oil filter housing for any sharp edges or burrs on the casting boss. If a sharp edge or casting burr is found on the boss, it must be removed using sand paper or a fine file.

Mark/B-LOC: The most challenging applications are those in which components are subjected to continuous shock, vibration, or reversing loads, in these cases, keyless locking devices generate sufficient preload to ensure backlash-free connection.Jeff/KTR: Applications that include large reversing loads provide the greatest challenges.Vic/Rimtec: If the goal is akrtoolsuk accurate positioning, high-duty cycle, reversing loads are the most difficult, especially if they require high acceleration and deceleration.Jeff/Tollok: The most challenging applications almost always involve extremely akrtoolsuk and akrtoolsuk high torques or heavy shock loads. Operational environment and other external influences can also be challenging.PitfallsWhat are the most common pitfalls and how can they be prevented?Jeff/Tollok: Selecting the wrong type of locking assembly is a big issue. Erroneous sizing calculations and improper installation and mounting are other pitfalls. My advice is to carefully review your application parameters with your locking assembly supplier.
