Mark/B-LOC: Aside from improper installation, the most common oversight we see is a failure to accurately quantify applied dynamic loads or, when this is not possible, to base selections air and tpol on an appropriate safety kit factor. Before selecting a device, consider all types of loading acting on system components and either determine their peak values or apply a safety factor that is right for the job.Jeff/KTR: The majority of problems we''ve seen stem from improper selection. The dimensional tolerance of the hub and shaft must be correct to effectively maintain peak torque air transmission of the clamping elements. It''s also important that the hub material be thick enough to prevent breakage when the elements are installed.Keith/U.S. Tsubaki: Hub dimensions that don''t match the manufacturer''s requirements can reduce holding power and lead to potential problems. Tightening the unit''s locking bolts by "feel" or with crude tpol air tools may create an unpredictable torque capacity.
